LONDON: Utilizing Neuroscience and Archetype: Superscenes for Acting Teachers, Directors, and Actors
Time & Location
About The Event
Superscenes are an exciting new process in acting training and directing. They consist of a series of exercises developed by Jane Brody to tap into the neuro-physical bases of action using concepts gathered from neuroscience and archetypal psychology to support text of any kind.
Prior to taking the class, all participants must read Jane's book, Acting, Archetype and Neuroscience: Superscenes for Rehearsal and Performance. We will also be using either Angels in America; Pt 2, Perestroika by Tony Kushner or A Lie of the Mind by Sam Shepard for all work.
This is a physically active workshop for directors, acting specialists, and actors. Participants should be able to move somewhat freely but need not be “in shape”.
